Sharing Your Story

One of the best ways we can share our faith is to talk about our faith with our non-believing friends is to share the story of how we came to faith . This page walks you through the process of writing your story so that you can be more comfortable sharing it with others.
You can download this as a PDF worksheet if you would like to print it off.

Writing Your Testimony

On this page, you will have the opportunity to begin thinking through your personal testimony, the story of how you came to know Jesus for the first time. You will look at the three different parts to your story:
  • your life before meeting Jesus
  • what led you to believe in Jesus
  • how your life was different after meeting Jesus

Even if you can’t remember a time when you weren’t a believer (if you became a Christian as a young child for example), you can still share what convinced you as a teenager or a young adult to make your faith your own and the impact it has had on your life to this day.

Describe your life before you received Christ.

What were your attitudes, needs and problems
before you received Christ?
What did your life revolve around?
What were you doing for happiness and security?
