Governing Documents

Our Bylaws outline the essential governing rules of our church. They describe our key activities and enumerate the roles, rights and responsibilities of members, staff, pastors and directors. Our Bylaws also cover legal matters as a registered non-profit organization. In order for our church Bylaws to be edited or amended, approval is needed from the church members.

The Guiding Principles is the primary document that the church board use to hold the pastor to account. They outline a series of Mission Principles which describe the direction in which the pastor is to lead the church. They outline a series of Boundary Principles which define the limits to what the pastor is able to do in order to fulfil the mission. Also, they outline a series of Accountability Principles which are the processes used to monitor the pastor's compliance with the Guiding Principles. The Guiding Principles can be changed by a resolution of the board in order them to help them better fulfil their role.
