- 2:3 Groups
- Groups will begin reading aloud through the book of Acts together.
- Some groups are still finishing up the Teach Us To Pray curriculum.
- Seniors’ Breakfast
- In May, Pastor Andy spoke about how we can use the description of the church in Acts 2:42-47 to fuel our prayers for our own church family.
- Our June Senior’s Breakfast will take place on June 10.
- Upcoming Sermons
- Men’s Ministry
- At our men’s breakfast on May 17 one brother shared his testimony of recovery through his involvement in the Re:Gen recovery program at The Well Community Church.
- The next men’s events will be a Game Night on June 6 and another men’s breakfast on June 21.
- Women’s Ministry
- The Succulent Saturday event was attended by 20 women with a great time of fellowship and fun.
- A new women’s bible study begins on May 19. They will study the book of Colossians.
- There is an upcoming day retreat on May 31 called “Beyond the Breezeway”.
- Youth Ministry
- Mid-Week Series: Letters to the Churches in Revelation
- Sunday Series: The Book of Romans
- Worship Night in April was a success.
- The new youth leadership team are stepping into their role of being welcomers.
- It’s a busy time of year for students with finals, performances and graduations.
- Children’s Ministry
- Family Adventure Nights (F.A.N.)
- This year's theme is “Under the Stars” which has an outdoors/camping feel.
- Set design is underway.
- Curriculum content is being prepared.
- Sunday Mornings
- The children will complete the Gospel Story Curriculum on 5/18 as they complete their journey through the bible.
- This will be followed by a three week curriculum on the topic of prayer.
- They will restart the Gospel Story Curriculum back in Genesis on 6/8.
- Children will move up to their new grade classes on 6/1.
- Pastor Trent is working on a bible memorization tool for the children.
- Events
- A park day was held at Dry Creek Park for kids to play together and parents to fellowship.
- Pastor Trent finished an online training course called Growing Young Disciples.
- Family Adventure Nights (F.A.N.)
- Becoming a Praying Church
- 5 prayer boot camps began with 27 participants involved.
- Missions
- Amanda Rehfeldt
- She departed on 5/8/25 to begin her missionary training in North Carolina.
- She will return in early July for a week before moving to Uganda.
- She was over 100% funded for her missionary support before leaving for training.
- Carlie White
- Carlie will leave for her summer internship at Yugo Ensenada on June 4.
- She is fully funded for her internship.
- We will be having a time of prayer for Carlie after the services on June 1.
- Mexico Mission Trip
- Fundraising
- There will be a Tri-Tip Sandwich fundraised on June 8.
- The Fireworks Booth will be open July 2-4 with all profits going to the Mexico trip.
- Paperwork and orientation for booth overseers has begun.
- An online auction has begun with items that were donated for the Quiz Night raffles.
- House teams were selected. The team will build two homes and be working on a home for one of the Yugo staff.
- The vans to transport the team were booked and deposit paid.
- Trip funds were sent to Yugo.
- Next Mexico team meeting dates: 5/17, 6/14, 7/5

- Dawn has been working on background check paperwork and fingerprinting for the adults of the Mexico team.

- Finances
- Jennifer and Andy have drafted a proposed budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year for the board to review before presenting it to the congregation.
- Total giving for April was $70,636.67.
- Facilities
- New mini-split AC units are being installed in two offices and the network closet in the shed.
- We are seeking quotes to tile the bathroom floor in the men’s bathroom in the Worship Center as well as the small bathroom by the Green Room.
- We are seeking quotes to get the roof of the Activity Center certified per request of our insurance company.
- The digital phone system installation was completed. The church and preschool phone numbers remain the same.
- Church Board
- April Meeting
- Pastor Andy’s review of the worship ministry was discussed.
- The Church Bylaw review was finished. These shall be presented to the congregation for approval with the budget vote in July.
- Upcoming May Meeting
- The main topic of discussion will be the proposed budget for the next fiscal year.

- We are pleased to welcome Lew & Karen Steinhoff into membership at FBCC.
